Abstentia

I knew it was going to happen but I suppose it was all worth while.
While taking 4 days off instead of just my normal weekend I created a pure brown shit storm at work of extra work I need to do in order to get caught up, and by the dogs nothing else is falling into line to allow me to actually catch up to where I need to be.

When I returned to work on Monday morning I was greeted with an office that looks like it had been abandoned for at least a month.  I had a large stack of folders to process, I had a huge stack of bills to pay and I had a stack of other miscellaneous papers that needed to be gone through at some point - and hopefully I could work some of this in while doing my other dailies.

Monday was decent, I was actually able to make it through all my folders by the end of the day with little to know push back - however Tuesday decided that it was not to be fucked with.

Everything was going fine until I get a call from the Store Manager telling me she was going to be there in about 30 minutes and we needed to go to a customers house to pay them off and take pictures.  Ok, so there goes an hour of my day doing things that were not planned.  From there Tuesday said "Biatch, lets play a game."

The name of that game turned out to be "don't touch any of your normal work" because I started getting phone call after phone call of other things that demanded my attention.  I have since created another pile of stuff that is more pressing that needs attention more direly than some of the other piles which means that technically I am slipping as Bills are required to be paid within 24 hours of receipt.  Heh, I guess they can just kind of take back burner unless any particular installers call to find out why I haven't taken care of them yet.

In other office news I am given a firm date for when my help begins - the 25th.  This will mean that I will have been doing this for 3 months on my own and haven't yet killed anyone.  Slightly down news on that is while I was told this person has previous office experience for a few years the truth of the matter is that she has been with the company for several years but really doesn't know much about the office and I'm going to have to figure out a way to summon my inner trainer and teach her whatever it is that I'm supposed to be doing.
Oh, I hate training people.

In other news - I have hemorrhoids - not fucking cool.

Prom - 1996 - I was fucking beautiful dammit!

  4. I must be the only person in the world who doesn't think you're funny. Maybe because we lived together and I washed all your dirty underwear. The novelty wore off :)

  5. Yes, I keep forgetting to find those pictures. I have about a half dozen of them. I'll look for them. It'll keep my mind off of the shit-fest that's been my life for this whole week. Should I send them to your grrouchie account listed at the top of the page?

Carmel: Yes, I moved here about a month ago. And yes, you have told me how awesome it is. Although, it would be more awesome if I actually had a job....lol. ;o)
